Advent Carols

A time to welcome in the new church year with music and prayers with a blessing of the Advent wreath. This is a combined service with the St Davids Naenae, held this year at St David’s Naenae.

Sunday 19 December at 7.45am

Holy Communion

A traditional prayer book service in contemporary language a short service with a message for Christmas.

Sunday 19 December at 9.00am

Church at 9

A family Communion Service with kids time (with activities) and a message for Christmas

Sunday 19 December at 10.15am

Family Communion followed by the New Zealand Prayer Book

A Communion service with Christmas message and music, followed by the modern prayer book service

Carol Service

A combined carol service with the traditional and contemporary songs and words with Taita, Naenae, Stokes Valley. Parish at this year held at Holy Trinity Avalon

Christmas Eve at 6.00pm

Children’s and young persons’ and family service with a new way of telling the Christmas Story

A story telling time with modern and tradition Christmas music plus while taking part in a new way of sharing the Christmas Story

Christmas Eve at 11.15pm

Midnight Mass

Welcome in the birth of Christ with a Christmas message, Carols and words, centered around the Communion Table (a traditional Midnight service)

Christmas Day at 8.00am

Christmas Day Communion

A service of Communion and Carols (traditional) with a Christmas message.

Christmas Day at 10.00am

Christmas Day Communion

A service of Communion and Carols (modern and traditional) with a Christmas message.

Sunday worship with music, communion and word of the day

From Sunday 30 of January

7.45am

Modern prayer book Communion with a word for the day

New Zealand Prayer Book service without music or hymns. A short service for those wishing to celebrate and share with others the love of God in a quite setting.

9.00am

A time for families to join together with a shortened Communion format, youth activities, modern songs followed by coffee and biscuits.

10.15am

Communion service with a word for the day

A New Zealand Prayer Book service with a mixture of traditional and contemporary music followed by morning tea and fellowship
